Who Am I?
OK. So I'm terrible at writing about myself. I have spent a lot of time trying to compose a decent 'about me' paragraph. I can't tell you what I'm like. Only people who know me can, or you can get to know me through my blog posts. All I can tell you is the basic stuff about me. The basic facts are: My name is Andrea. I am a child of God, wife, mother of 2, homemaker (or 'Domestic Engineer' if you prefer), babysitter and licensed hair stylist. I'm just a regular every day woman, no fancy title or profession, just plain ol' me. I cry openly, I laugh deep, and I love with all my heart. So much so, that it has been broken more times than I can remember. But that is just how God made me. I can't, nor do I care to change those things. That's what makes me different, and I enjoy being different. I also really enjoy living for Christ. In 2009 when I was pregnant with our son, my husband and I decided to change our lives and live fully for Christ. We both recently got baptized and are doing the best that we can to build a stronger relationship with God and with each other every day. Every day has it's own challenges and struggles but I try to keep my focus on Christ, and my relationship with him. I stumble often, but God is always there to pick me up, wipe my knees and encourage me to keep trying.
I'm not a very good writer, I don't use a lot of 'big' words, and I'm not often funny. I am however, willing to share my thoughts with you about various things that I experience, read, are passionate about, or just random things. I truly enjoy writing, and I hope that you enjoy reading my posts. I also love to receive comments so that I know how my writing is affecting my audience.
Why Do I Blog?
My blog began when we started to sponsor our 'boy' Alejandro. My sister suggested I start a blog about my sponsorship with him. It was (is) a great idea, however, seeing how we just started to sponsor, there isn't enough stuff for me to write about. So, that's when I started just writing about anything that came to mind. I really have felt lately that God wants me to talk more about him and how he's working in my life, than myself. Which I think is much better anyway. So I have started writing about him and how he is changing me, and things that he's showing me, and pretty much whatever he wants me to write that day.
So there's a bit about me (?) and why I blog. I really hope that you enjoy reading my posts and I'm excited to be on this journey called life with you. I would love to get to know you better as well.
