Here are some places in The Bible that to me, are key points in scripture. There are a lot more, but these are helpful for me in my walk right now. They may change as I grow in my relationship with him.

Exodus 20: 1-17 - The Ten Commandments ( short version)
1. "I am the Lord your God... You shall have no other gods before me."
2. "You shall not make for yourself an idol."
3. "You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God."
4. "Remember the sabbath day by keeping it holy."
5. "Honor your father and your mother."
6. "You shall not murder."
7. "You shall not commit adultery."
8. "You shall not steal."
9. "You shall not give false testimony (lie)."
10. "You shall not covet... anything that belongs to your neighbor."
Matthew 6: 9-13 - The Lord's prayer
"This, then, is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 - LOVE
" Love is patient and kind;
love does not envy or boast;
it is not arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on it's own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing,
but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
Love never ends.
Matthew 5 : 3-12 - The sermon on the mount (the Beatitudes)
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you
because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
