Good Things

"He gave himself for us to set us free from every sin and to cleanse us so that we can be his special people who are enthusiastic about doing good things". Titus 2:14

Those are the words from this mornings devotions that really struck out at me.
Read them over a few times. Break them down.
Doesn't that make you feel amazing? And special?

So much love in that sentence. Love that only Jesus could have for us.

So let's return that love. Let's get enthusiastic about doing good things and then let's do good things. We have been cleansed, were free, and were his special people. Let's act like it.

I have been reading in other blog posts lately about sponsor children who don't receive letters from their sponsors. That breaks my heart. I have read of children who have NEVER received a letter but yet 3 times a year they are expected to write one back. What do you write to someone who you have never heard from? You only know their name and nothing else. I can only try to imagine what that must be like, to write a letter out of obligation, not because your excited to. So, if your a sponsor and it's been a while since you wrote, why don't you sit down and write a few lines? Something as simple as talking about your devotions that morning, or about the weather. What is spring like where you live? Tell them. They want to know. They want to know the most basic things about you. They want to know that you love them, and they feel that when you send a letter. You could even just write " I was thinking about you today, so I wanted to tell you I love you and I'm praying for you". It doesn't have to be an essay. My letters are usually about half a page ( a little less), single spaced. That way the translator still has room to translate the letter. Share a bible verse with them. Something that really encourages you. If you are like me and love to send things to them, check out your nearest dollar store. There are millions of treasures there to send. As long as it's paper and 1/4 " or less in thickness and 8 1/2" x 11" in size. Also, if it's a book it can't be spiral bound. Just think "Document".
We send stuff like:
-Stickers
-Sticker book
-Gift bag (without the handles)
-Band aids
-Thin scribblers
-Stationary - blank cards, nice paper, index cards, anything that falls under that heading.
-Thin coloring books
-Rainbow art - the pictures where you scratch the black stuff off to reveal colors underneath
-Word searches
-Bible verses
That's what we've sent so far but I'm still new at this. I've heard of people sending a lot of other things like: bookmarks, story books, postcards, sport cards, small thin calendars, etc, just use your imagination. You probably wouldn't even have to go shopping for stuff. You probably have things to send lying around your house and you didn't even know!

So, how about you "send some love" today!

Small Things Count

So, last night I went for coffee with a wonderful woman that I met through my church. We had a great time! She borrowed me a book called "Diapers, Pacifiers, And Other Holy Things" by Lorraine Pintus. I have only read a small portion of it but it is a really good book for women, especially mothers who feel: too busy for God but want a relationship with him, taken for granted, invaluable, or who just need a bit more inspiration.
Today I was reading about how the small things that you do for people really do count. You know, bringing someone supper when their sick, a wave to a stranger, a smile to the cashier who is having a rough day, all these things that are so easy (and painless) to do. She says that " God entrusts you with little things to teach you faithfulness in big things. Also, God wants you to see that each little thing you do can have eternal impact". Really? How? Show me. Then she goes on to say that each little thing that we do for others as long as we have the right motive, we are doing it for God. Matthew 25:40 says "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me". So when we do something that seems small and insignificant to us, as long as we have the right heart about it, we are doing it for Jesus. Wiping noses, patching clothes, sweeping floors, laundry, all that little everyday stuff that we do constantly and get nowhere with, it all counts! Huh, who would have thought? I mean, I do it (or try to) everyday but I never think of it that way. So really, when we work no matter what we do, it's an act of worship. That's a much nicer way to look at things, to do it for Jesus. Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ that you are serving".
So, before doing anything, ask yourself why your doing it and for whom? Then you will know if your doing it for God or for man. If we want to serve Christ fully, Motive is Everything.

Who do you do it for?

Tuesdays Thoughts

Today has been a fairly productive day so far! I'm very excited about that. I have 5 kids in my home to take care of today and I've written letters to my sponsor boys, vacuumed my floors, cleaned up my room, fed all the kids and put 2 down for naps while the other 3 have quiet time. All in all, I feel as if I'm right on track with my day. I feel very peaceful today which is amazing because I didn't have a good sleep last night so I expected to be not as happy as usual. I'll admit I was a bit grumpy this morning until I did my devotions. It's so awesome how devotions and a prayer can change you and your day! I just love how God is at work in me when I open myself and let him in.
I was reading a blog post earlier about Honduras and it really made me want to go see my little Alejandro. Oh how I hope that some day we can meet him! His sweet little face on my fridge (and on my blog) makes me think about him often. I also think about him a lot now because as I prepare for my daughters 4th birthday, I am getting his birthday stuff ready to send. With the amount of time that it takes for letters to travel, I need to send things 2-3 months in advance if I want him to receive them by his birthday. So, as I'm planning things for Arielle, I can't help but wonder what he will do for his birthday and if he'll receive any gifts. I will be sending him some money so that he will get a birthday gift, but I'm curious as to what it might be. I am very thankful that through sponsorship, compassion also has birthday parties for the kids. I can't wait for him to write and tell me what they did.
I'm really thankful that we are able to sponsor a child. Through this experience ( it has only been a few months) my eyes have really been opened and my heart has learned to love more.

1John 3:23 "And this is his command: to believe in the name of his son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us".

Some Encouragement...

What a nice weekend it was! The weather wasn't too bad either. It could have been a bit warmer but this is Manitoba after all. Spring is always unpredictable here!
I also had a chance to go back to the book fair by myself on Saturday. It was such a good time! I spent 45 minutes there and I only looked at one section! I came home with an armful of books and it only cost me 5 bucks! I didn't know this ahead of time but the last day is always half price day. So lucky for me, every book was half price! That makes shopping (especially when your on a budget) a lot more exciting! I was able to find some neat books for my sponsor boys as well. I found a couple on animals, one on hockey (the great Canadian sport), and one on northern Canada. Now, I just need to figure out which book to send to each boy.
I also found some great christian books for my husband and myself. The one that I'm reading now is called " Witness The Passion" by Richard Exley. It's such a great book. The author uses Biblical truth and his own imagination to create eyewitness accounts of the people present at the Crucifixion of Christ. This book really opens your eyes and makes you feel as if you were there. The way he describes it, has made me shed a tear or two a couple of times. It's really good to see the Crucifixion with a different angle, it makes you understand better what Jesus was willing to go through to save us. It also helps you to experience God's amazing grace. This book helps you to see that when things in your own life are difficult, Jesus had it a lot worse and yet he never once complained. It's encouraging for me to remember this passage: "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it, but one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:12).
It just helps me to remember why we continue to strive forward in our faith, even when things are tough. I hope this passage encourages you like it does me.

What's your encouragement verse?

Have a great day!

An Interesting Friday...

Today I really didn't know what to write about so I had not planned on posting anything. However, my day ended up being something to write about.
Today I did NOT have to clean my house!! I was very excited. You see, a couple of days ago I got a call from a lady that I know. She's starting her own cleaning business and needed some people to use as references. In return, she would come spend 3 hours cleaning my house! What a treat! It was wonderful, especially after being busy all week.
Then I put my son down for a nap and a little while later he starts calling for me. So, I go in there and not only has he filled his diaper, he's taken it off and there's poop all over! What a sight! It's all over his bed, his crib, even in his hair! What a crazy guy! So, off to the bath with him and now mommy gets to clean up. I guess that's my payback for not having to do any cleaning this morning. He really doesn't care though cause he LOVES the bath. He loves it so much he gets in fully dressed!

So that was part of my exciting afternoon. After his bath was over, Arielle had woke up from her nap and we went to the book fair. I love the book fair. There's thousands of different books, the prices are cheap, and it goes to a great cause! Everyone wins! All the proceeds from the fair this weekend went to the local hospital.  Arielle had a really great time. Her and I could spend hours looking through books to find ones we like. Gabriel, however, was not in the mood. So, we quickly found some books and went and finished our shopping. I'm hoping to be able to go back tomorrow and look for more. I'm also going to see if I can find some to send to my sponsor boys. I'm going to look for some that have more pictures than words. That way they can still enjoy the book even if they can't read English. If you are planning on sending books to your sponsor children, just make sure that they are thin and staple bound. There are many customs restrictions (and thefts) and if the book is too big and bulky it prob won't get sent.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

God Bless!

The Joy Of Spring

Ahhh, spring is in the air. Can you feel it? It has finally come to southern Manitoba, with it's wonderful smell and it's promise of something new. I really love spring. I have an extra bounce in my step and a new song in my heart. Even though it's dirty and messy, spring feels so clean. It smells new, fresh and crisp. It makes you want to go outside at every opportunity and just sit and soak up the sun.
This year, winter has felt like it's been here forever. Manitoba winters are always very cold. If the temperature isn't cold, then we have a biting wind chill that chills you to the bone. So when the first signs of spring come, us Manitobans get really excited! We start spring cleaning, we get outside more, we are generally a lot more cheerful too! It's a really fantastic season!
Seeing as how spring is here now, I think it's time I change (or get?) a daily routine. I was reading a blog post the other day on "Blogging from the boonies" (www.meeshimama.blogspot.com) and she was sharing how she keeps her home organized. So I gave it some thought and decided that it's time for me to have a 'chore' list. In the past when I've shared my frustration with my husband about how I have a hard time getting stuff done some days, he told me to write it down. In my mind, I just pictured a list that I would make each day. Instead, in this post she said how she has a daily list (things she does every day) and a weekly list. She also shared what was on her list (Thanks!). I'm a visual person, so seeing the kinds of things that would be on a daily list made it seem so simple. So, I've decided to give this a shot. So far I've been able to keep up, however, I have a short list for now until I get into routine. I've never been very good at having a routine so let's see how this one works out!!

Happy Spring Everyone!!

Thinking Out Loud

Today is a day where I've been doing a lot of thinking. Last night was the end of our 11 week Bible study series so now I'm reflecting on what I learned. We did the study "Breaking Free" by Beth Moore. It was an excellent series and it really makes you look inside yourself and find the areas that you are being held captive. It was really good to learn the different kinds of bondage. Things that seem so innocent are not always that way. They can be areas that the enemy is holding you captive but has deceived you into believing his lies. One of the greatest truths that really hit me hard is this: Anything that is keeing you from God is bondage. Nothing should come between you and him. Not your husband, not kids, not church, nothing. When you put God first, everything else falls into place. That's something that I'm really seeing with new eyes now. I'm watching my relationships with my husband and my kids change for the better everyday when I put God first. Things that you think can't get any better, really can! Areas that could definitely change, do! It is so amazing and awesome to be at God's side every day and to feel his presence! It is great knowing that he is being glorified in all things. I really encourage everyone to do this study if you have the opportunity. Even if your not in bondage, do it anyway. It's awesome what you can learn!

May you be blessed today!

How Do We Serve?

What a nice weekend it was. Me and Arielle had a great time shopping on Saturday and just spending time together. Sunday was also really good. We went to church in the morning and just relaxed the rest of the day.
Our pastor had a message that really hit home for me. It was on serving others. He preached out of John 13 : 1-20. That's the text where Jesus washes the disciples feet. In the last hours before he was to be crucified he served his disciples instead of asking them to serve him. How many of us could actually do that? I know I for one couldn't do it. I often think that others should serve me. "I'm tired, I have a headache, I've worked all day." Those are the kinds of thoughts that enter my mind when I am asked to do something I really don't feel like doing.  But that's not the way it should be. We as Christian's, should be looking for ways to serve others no matter what. God doesn't stop serving us just because he is tired or has a headache (which doesn't happen to him anyway). Jesus showed us in the way he washed his disciples feet only hours before his death how we should serve others. He had full right to want them to focus on him and his needs, after all he had a lot that would be happening to him in a short while! Instead he took the time to wash their feet (a job that only servants did) and serve them in love.
That really made me stop and think. Do I serve others that way? Do I want to serve that way? Could I actually serve those who hate me? The only way we can do it, is if we allow God to serve us first. We have to accept that he sent Jesus to die in order for us to be saved. In that way (and many others) he has served us. So I want to challenge and encourage everyone to allow God to serve them and then to serve others in his name. The key to serving others is to not make it obvious. God will see and that's all that counts.

Have a blessed day!

Friday!!

Well, the weekend is finally here! I hope that we continue to have nice weather. I'm also hoping that I'll get over this cold soon. I've had it for a week now and It's not getting any better yet. But, it is the season so I'll continue to do what I can to get rid of it.
This week has gone by way too fast. I feel like it should be Wednesday but I'm also glad that it's Friday. Tomorrow, I have a girls day planned with my daughter and my friend and her daughter. We are just going to go out and do a bit of shopping maybe, just spend time with our girls. Lately it seems that Arielle needs a bit more time with her mom, so I think it will be good for both of us to spend some quality time together.
I haven't posted much this week because my head cold hasn't let me think. Maybe that's God's way of telling me it's time to slow down, he wants me to spend some time and 'rest' in him.....

Have a great weekend!

Hello Pink!

There has been a lot of 'pink' happening at my house lately. First, my kids both got pink eye, then last week I decided to give my daughter a pink streak in her hair. She was really excited!

I know she doesn't look it but she really does like her pink hair.

Then on Thursday my 11 month old niece got pink eye, from my house of course! And to top it all off, yesterday she decided to be so generous and pass it onto me. So, I still have my head cold and pink eye as well! I think it's time for 'pink' to go. It's overstayed it's welcome at my place! The pink hair can stay but any pink infections have got to leave!

On another note, everything else has been same old same old. Nothing too exciting. I'm very glad that the snow is melting! Me and my daughter took the dog for a walk yesterday evening. Well, we tried to walk the dog but she was so excited she walked us! Anyway, it was a nice evening for a walk and we had a good time.

I hope your all enjoying the nice weather! Have a great day!

Monday Already?

Is it Monday already? Wow the weekend went by fast. I was sick with a head cold all weekend (and still am) so we didn't do much. I did, however, get my package sent out to my sponsor boys. I'm trying to send something every 2 weeks. I didn't write a very long letter this time, but I want to remind them that they are special.
People living in poverty often believe the lies that "your not worth it" or "nobody loves you", so us as sponsors need to keep writing so they believe that they are worth something. It's often through those letters from us that their self confidence is built up and they know that they are special. I'm not saying that you should write as often as I. I have a bit more time with being a stay at home mom than a lot of people. But I really believe that you should try to send something once a month or once every two months. It can just be a short note with a bible verse and you telling them you love them and are praying for them. It really doesn't matter what you send as long as you try to send a little something. They just need the connection from you.
I often go overboard when I send stuff. I just get so excited when it's time to send another letter. I want to send them everything! I usually send all kinds of extras from bandaids to stickers to thin scribblers (the staple bound kind), whatever I have that I think they might like. I'm also starting to send little extras for their siblings ( I also have sent bible verses to their mothers) too. In families where there are 3 or less children, usually only 1 gets sponsored. So I want the rest of the family to know that they are special to me and that I pray for them as well. I actually have a box in my kitchen that I keep all kinds of 'extras' to send to my sponsor boys. That way, whenever I am getting stuff together to send, I don't have to rush out to the store to buy extra things. When my 'supplies' get low, I make a trip to the store and pick up more stuff. I find it's a lot easier for me to send things often that way.
I'm not saying that you need to send all kinds of things. You don't need to send anything other than your letter.  All you really need to send is your Love.

If you sponsor a child, I hope this makes yo want to write more often. Like I said, it doesn't need to be a big, long letter. They just need the reassurance from you that they are worth it and that you care for them.

Have a great day!

Thankful Thursday

It seems that these days were always thinking about things that we need or want. So I wanted to dedicate today's post to things that I'm thankful for.

Things that I'm thankful for are:

First and foremost I have to say God. Because without his grace, mercy and never-ending love, I would not be who I am today. God is not even close to done working in me but I would like to say that I feel I've changed at least a bit.

I am very thankful for my Husband. He is an excellent leader of our home and provider. He is the realist in our home and I'm the dreamer. Without him I'm sure I would have made a million more dumb decisions! I'm not always a clear thinker when I have a great idea so when I ask his advice it's usually NOT what I want to hear but that's a very good thing. He keeps me grounded. I am very thankful that I am married to him!

I am very thankful that God saw fit to bless us with two wonderful children. My kids are so full of life and they bring me so much joy! They also remind me often that they are mischievous! As a parent, you need to have a sense of humor. That's something I have to remind myself at times.

I am thankful that I am an auntie! My niece and nephew are such wonderful little people. I love watching them grow and seeing their little personalities come out.

I am thankful that God gives me the energy and strength to be able to babysit so that I can also help contribute to our finances. It sure takes a lot of energy some days though!

I am thankful for my wonderful friends and family who love me despite me faults. I am not easy to love sometimes but I'm very glad that they still do. Life is so much happier when you have people who care for you! You know who you are, Thanks so much!

I am thankful that I love to bake! I know that it sounds silly but I really do! I go through spells where I don't do a lot of baking but it is a lot of fun for me. My favourite stuff to bake is probably bread, or stuff that needs yeast. I like to experiment in my baking and it's so exciting when it turns out!

I am also very thankful for my Compassion boys. They have taught me (without saying anything because I haven't received a letter yet) how we need to show love to everyone and how very different our world really is. I'm really looking forward to getting to know them!

So there you have it. Just a few things that I'm very thankful for. These are not in order (except God is #1) and not even close to everything. Just a short list of things that came to mind as I wrote this post.  I encourage everyone to make a list and look at it from time to time. It helps to keep you humble.

Have a great day!

Something To Ponder...

In case some of you are wondering about the color change on my blog, I'm still deciding which one I like the best. So be prepared for a few changes in the next little while. I'm one of those people that can NEVER make up their mind! You know, the people that you are stuck behind at the drive thru window? The ones that take forever? That's me! I just can't make up my mind. It drives my husband crazy! Anyway, I'm working on it so that my kids hopefully wont turn out the same way.
I should hopefully have my blog the way I want it soon.

Yesterday, I was doing some research about  Rwanda. Seeing as how my correspondent boys are from there I thought I should educate myself. I came across something horrifying. In April 1994 there was a political genocide in Rwanda. You see, two tribes living side by side had happily gotten along until a political rebel group decided to "get rid of" the other group. There were the Huti and the Tutsi. The Huti made up about 80% of the population and the Tutsi made up about 13%. So the Huti wanted to take over the country. In 100 days approx 800,000 Tutsi were murdered! That's not the worst part, the method that they used is very disturbing. They would use machetes, clubs, guns, bombs, anything that was available. Some of these people also killed their in-laws! I was so bothered by this but I could not stop reading. I was even brave enough to look at pictures. They were images that I probably wont ever forget.
This so disturbed me and still does but then last night I was thinking about the Old Testament. How many times did God tell David to take over an entire city and leave nobody alive? No women, babies, nobody. So now I can't help but wonder about God's hand in this. Why did it really happen? What came out of it?  What was the purpose? It's something we'll never know (at least not in this lifetime) but it is good to ponder the events that happen in the world and wonder what good will come from it. Everything that happens is because God allows it. He doesn't always start it but he allows it to happen because of the bigger picture.

It's something worth keeping in mind, next time something happens and we don't know why...

Our two new boys!

What a great weekend it's been so far! On Friday evening I went to check my mail and was very excited at what I received! I received the child packets from my two correspondent sponsor boys! Oh how great! Now I can put two lovely new faces on my fridge to remind me about the world that we live in.
 Let me introduce you...

        Nsengimana
He's from Rwanda, and he's 18 years old.

He only lives with his mother because his father is in prison. Oh my heart breaks when I read that. Where he lives, most adults don't work but those that do earn the average of $27.00 A MONTH! I can't get over that, that's nothing in our society. The real blessing is that his sponsorship covers Bible teaching, medical exams, nutritious food, hygiene instruction, recreational activities, opportunities for community service, school fees, scholastic materials, tutoring and domestic supplies. Also, his mother receives Bible teaching as well.

Niyomugabo
He's also from Rwanda, and he's also 18 years old.

Niyomugabo also only lives with his mother, there are 4 children in his family and his mother is sometimes employed as a farmer. Where he lives most adults work as farmers but only earn the equivalent of $10.00 A MONTH! That is astonishing! I can't even think of what we can buy with $10 out here. Maybe, a couple of groceries? His sponsorship provides him with Bible teaching, medical care, nutritious meals, hygiene supplies, recreational activities, tuition and scholastic materials. Also, Bible teaching for his mother.

These boys, through the little bit that I know about them have started to change the way I see things. I am now, for the first time in my life, really starting to imagine what life is like in these countries. I often wonder what their mothers must be going through. While I'm sitting in my bathtub enjoying a nice hot bath, they are working so hard just trying to get enough money to feed their children maybe 1 meal a day? Some days when I spend a lot of time thinking about this I feel the tears start. But then I stop myself and think, Why did God allow me to have an abundant life? Why am I not living in poverty? What can I do to help? I really believe that those of us that are not living in those conditions can and should help any way that we can. Some people can't commit to sponsoring a child, I understand that. But even if you have an extra $10 bucks and you want to donate it, why not compassion? At least then you know where your money is going.
Also, if you can't afford to sponsor a child, you can still change a life by becoming a correspondent sponsor. All that Compassion asks is that you write 3 times a year and send a birthday card for their birthday and Christmas. To make writing even easier, Compassion has it set up that you can send them a letter online. You don't even need a pen and paper! You write the letter, it gets sent to Compassion Canada office, they translate it, print it out and it goes to your child from there.
So, if anyone is thinking about donating to Compassion, sponsoring a child, or becoming a correspondent sponsor just go to http://www.compassion.ca/ and you can do it all there.

I am just so passionate about what Compassion does. I see how they spend the money that we give for sponsoring and how they do it all in the name of Christ and I'm so thankful that I can be a part of it even if it's a small part.

I encourage each and every one of you to do what you can, small or large to spread the love of Jesus.

Have a blessed weekend!

Thoughts From The Week...

Wow, is it Friday already? This week has gone so fast! It has been another busy week for me. This has been another week where I've been doing alot of babysitting (which is great) but it sure keeps me busy! Also, my son got pink eye on Tuesday so he wasn't very happy for a couple of days. He seems to be alot better today which I am very thankful for. Arielle (my daughter) is finally over her pink eye but woke up yesterday morning with a "cough" so she says. I don't think it will turn out to be anything.
I did get my Easter package sent out to my sponsor boys. I sent it Monday afternoon, I was hoping to have it out first thing in the morning on Monday but we just didn't get going fast enough. That's OK though. I'm sure they will get it close to Easter even if they don't get it before.
If anyone is looking for a store where they can find some neat stuff to send their sponsor kids, try Dollars Discount. I had not been in that store in a long time then other day I stopped in there to get something and I just took a minute to skim and see what I would find. They have so many neat things in there! My daughter wanted one of almost everything! I can't wait to have a bunch of time to really spend shopping in there without kids.
Mornings at my house are pretty crazy. As soon as my kids hear me awake they are up and about as well. So to have a little bit of quiet time in the morning often does NOT happen. All I would like to have is 30 min, just enough time to wake up and do my morning devotions. In a 15 hour day I really don't think it's too much to ask. So I was talking to a friend of mine about this the other day and she told me what she used to do when her kids were little. She would have an alarm clock in their room and they were not allowed to come out until a certain time. I think this is a fantastic idea! So the next time I have some free time I'm going to go pick up an alarm clock and try this out. I'll let you know how it works.

I hope you have a great weekend!

God Bless!

Finally!

Hello everyone, I hope you had a great weekend!
So, yesterday I went to the mail ( like I have been almost every day) with very high hopes to see if the picture of my sponsor child came. I am very happy to say that yes it finally did!! I was so excited that I stayed parked right in front of the mailbox and checked out the contents. So, here I am with my truck parked right in front of the mailbox reading my mail. I mean, who does that? Apparently me. Especially when you get what you have been waiting for. Of course, as soon as I told my daughter that I had the picture, she wanted to see too. It was a very exciting trip to the mail to say the least!

So now, I'm finally able to introduce all of you to our newest addition!

Meet  Alejandro
He's from Honduras, and he's three years old.

Isn't he adorable?
Alejandro lives in a very poor community. The average MONTHLY wage is $82.00. Can you imagine? That doesn't even cover our phone bills! Never mind everything for a whole month. His father is a farmer and his mother stays home with the kids. He only has one sibling I don't know if it's a boy or girl cause we only just started to sponsor him. What really surprised me was how much $41.00 a month could do. With our sponsorship, Alejandro Gets Bible teaching, Medical checkups, health and hygiene education, academic support, group games, birthday parties, uniforms, shoes, and school supplies. Isn't that incredible? On top of all that the staff also provides evangelism to his parents. What a blessing!
So when you sponsor through Compassion, you not only pay for their basic needs, you also give them and their parents the gift of learning alot about Jesus. That really makes it worth it to me. So, if your curious about sponsoring a child, or just want some more info, go to http://www.compassion.ca/ . I really encourage everyone to sponsor a child and change a life. Your not just changing one life, but many.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment and I'll get back to you!

Have a blessed day!
